Clare Downes

My coaching delivery is influenced by direct experience of starting, growing and running businesses and working within many businesses with their leadership teams. I have been an external support during; start-up, growth, merger, acquisition and sale; being in the privileged position of seeing inside the workings of many clients’ businesses, whilst running my own agency. I have extensive knowledge of the commercial and emotional intricacies of owner-operated and family-run businesses.
My approach is challenging but always with a smile!

Julian Mack

Having graduated from Henley Business School, Julian’s mission in coaching is to guide clients to find the awareness, confidence and reserves of resolve to live a more autonomous, fulfilled life. Favouring the neuroscience approach, with its emphasis on an individual’s ideal self and future, he uses purposeful conversations and selected tools to identify a client’s values, purpose and strengths. Helping clients do more of what they are good at leads to greater levels of satisfaction, contentment and well-being. Before discovering the joys of coaching, Julian founded and ran Threshold Sports (mantra: more is in you) alongside double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell. He sold Threshold to Infront Sports & Media in 2019. Julian is familiar with the lows of cash flow anxiety and the eventual high of selling a business.

Nick Thistleton

Nick’s coaching is the culmination of an eclectic career to date, as he brings together in service of his clients his creativity, his own entrepreneurial leadership journey and his deep interest in both the human and commercial side of business. His particular passion is helping executives to both discover and implement their own authentic model of effective leadership. Following his degree in French and Russian at Oxford University, Nick began his career as a professional pianist, working largely in musical theatre in London’s West End, as well as making various TV appearances with the likes of Lionel Richie and Gary Barlow. In 2003, he co-founded with Martha Lane Fox the karaoke company Lucky Voice, where he continues as non-Executive Chairman after 13 years as Managing Director. In growing Lucky Voice to become synonymous with high-quality karaoke experiences in the UK and increasingly overseas, Nick created a multi-faceted business which encompasses high-street leisure operations, international franchising, extensive proprietary technology and a B2C digital subscription offering.
